Club Philosophy

Puma Premier develops its training philosophy based upon the fact that we believe it is easiest to move on and properly develop a player through a tactical learning atmosphere once they have exhibited high levels of technical proficiency and confidence with the ball. Therefore, our coaches are committed to, and heavily focused upon the technical and psychological development of our youngest players on through the U12 age group. NO emphasis is placed upon winning at these developmental stages. We aim to get our players more excited and focused on the process of improving as individuals and as a team rather than the end result shown on the scoreboard. Puma Premier has adopted the Dutch-based Coerver® Coaching Method for use in properly molding our players into confident young boys and girls who play an exciting brand of soccer. It is highly regarded by many professional players and clubs as the world’s #1 soccer skills teaching method. Puma Premier wants to give each player the tools they need to reach their full potential and we are willing to go to great lengths to help our players.

More emphasis is placed upon competition and concern for the end result at the U13 and above age groups. At these ages our coaches will begin to prepare players for the rigors of advanced competition to come at the Club, High School, College and Pro Levels. Our technically sound players will be taught how to play an exciting brand of tactical soccer, attacking from all positions on the field while moving constantly off the ball and working as a team.

Overall it is our privilege and duty to bring to you a cohesive coaching staff that work together and continually educate themselves to bring you the best coaching they have to offer every time they step on the field. Our coaches will facilitate a fun learning atmosphere while developing our players into respectable young men and women who work hard, work together, never give up and exhibit class at every turn.
