Volunteers Needed

Clawson Youth Soccer (CYS) is an all volunteer organization that depends on the fine people of our community in order to offer our children every opportunity to grow in self esteem, leadership, sportsmanship, as well as have fun playing the game of soccer. If you have some time you could give back to community, in any form, we would welcome you. All it will take for us to keep a fine program going, and moving forward, is dedicated volunteers. The children of CYS will benefit immensely. If you are interested in helping CYS continue to provide its quality program please see the list below of open positions.

On another note, if you interested in coaching yet have a limited background in soccer that is OK. We provide four progressive coaching clinics yearly that are run by our Director of Player Development. These clinics will help you learn and grow as a coach. Open Positions

Fundraising (Chair position and Committee positions are available) - Click here if interested.

  1. Committee chair to be selected by approval of Board of Directors
  2. Chair to receive list of volunteers who checked Fundraising from Registrar
  3. Review fundraising options with committee and present selections for board approval
  4. Can be partnered with CYS Product Sales Committee or remain a separate function
  5. Board meeting attendance is preferred but not required as long as an updated report is submitted to the Treasurer prior to meetings

CYS Product Sales – (Chair position and Committee positions are available) - Click here if interested

  1. Committee chair to be selected by approval of Board of Directors
  2. Chair to receive list of volunteers from Registrar
  3. Coordinate sales of these items at games, picture day, end of season party
  4. Any new items must be approved by the Board of Directors
  5. Can be partnered with Fundraising Committee or remain a separate function
  6. Board meeting attendance is preferred but not required as long as an updated report is submitted to the Treasurer prior to meetings

Shoe Exchange - Click here if interested

  1. Collect soccer cleats donated by CYS families
  2. Store cleats
  3. Be accessible by phone or e-mail to receive requests and advise if CYS has the requested size
  4. Distribute cleats to players in need of cleats
  5. Position does not require meeting attendance

Spring Picnic – (Chair and Committee positions are available) - Click here if interested

  1. To be selected by approval of Board of Directors
  2. Chair to receive list of volunteers from Registrar
  3. Coordinate end of year party (after Spring Season)
  4. Arrange food & activities
  5. Submit plan to Board of Directors for approval
  6. Distribute information regarding party to Division Managers for distribution to coaches and players
  7. Board meeting attendance is required for the May Meeting to provide a status update. Attendance to other meetings preferred but not required as long as an updated report is sent to the Secretary prior to meetings.
